Healing Spirit
 
Little Bear (Wayne Price) a Tlingit tribal member from Haines, Alaska, is the artist who designed Healing Spirit, the artwork in the top left corner of our homepage. He has this to say Healing Spirit: This design came to me as an answer to a deep prayer, after, asking for vision and guidance from the ancestors.
Healing Spirit is an ancient symbol of the Tlingit Tribe. It is coming out over the land to spread its healing medicine with a wide-open generosity towards all.
The black form line is Earth - the mountains and land. Eagle and raven are the eyes of the earth, symbolic of all people.
Red and yellow represent the sun reflecting off the mountains.
Green represents the snow on top of the mountains.
Blue-green represents the waters in the Earth - oceans, rivers, lakes and springs.
The eye in the center represents the eye of our ancestors watching over us.
Healing Spirits' head and hair radiate energy and "the juice."
Healing Spirit hears the people and the land, and offers its healing hands, words and heart.
