A White Bison Giving Program to Benefit Incarcerated
Native Americans
The
Red Road to Wellbriety: In the Native American
Way is an addictions recovery
book written especially for Native Americans
by Native Americans. Sometimes called, “The
Indian Big Book” by Native Americans who
are using it in their own recovery programs,
this book presents a 12 Step approach taking
place in a Native American cultural format. Since
publication in 2002, The
Red Road to Wellbriety has been placed in the hands of over 12,000 Native
and non Native people alike. This book is especially
useful for incarcerated Native Americans who
don’t find addictions recovery help within
their own cultural framework in prison. Giving
the gift of this book to a man or woman in prison
can help save and renew a life.
