Circles of Recovery 2002


This is our Gratitude issue from White Bison, Inc. to you. To all who heard about Circles of Recovery,2002, made the effort to travel to Billings, Montana, and lent your good energy to the Gathering as a participant/attendee, volunteer, presenter, or what-have-you, this issue of Wellbriety! Online Magazine is dedicated to you.

A great big thank you!!!! to all of the people who helped by volunteering their time and efforts at the Billings conference. Your willingness to help made the conference happen!!

Volunteers did a large variety of jobs, many of them behind the scenes. They were airport pick-r-uppers • registration table helpers • movers of boxes and materials back and forth and back and forth • stuffers of 700 four-colored registration bags with hand out materials for participants and helping to assemble the beautiful nametags • putting up and taking down the Christmas tree • a group of women at the Billings prison who put all the strings in the little Christmas tree bison ornaments so we could hang them on the tree • the Hoop carriers • the Color Guard and Flag Carriers • display table helpers • keeping the drum supplied with water • display table helpers • picture frame assembler • the sign hangers • runners to the store for water and snacks • copy store runners making all the copies of so many forms • overseers of the audio-visual equipment and helping the video taper • collecting the evaluation forms at the end of the workshops • preparing the delicious meal on Saturday nite and bringing it to the hotel for all to enjoy • assisting the elders • setting up the stage for morning and evening general sessions • cleaning up • packing up and loading the truck...

This was a team effort with the volunteers central to the process. To all of the gracious, kind people who were a part of this, our heartfelt thanks for making the Strengthening the Community conference a success!!
