Oneida Plans a Three-Day
Sobriety Conference

Come to Oneida!
The Oneida Nation, near Green Bay, Wisconsin, is ready with a three-day celebration of sobriety from May 23-25, 2003. Oneida's Spirit Sobriety conference coincides with the coming of the Hoop of 100 Feathers on its last visit of the 2003 Journey. Oneida's planned agenda shows what extended recovery, or Wellbriety, is about. So many parts of the community are coming together through the efforts of the Oneida recovery community. Come to Oneida in May and participate these many Wellbriety events:

• Sacred Fire

• Sacred Hoop Ceremony

• Talking Circles "Alcathon" at the Fire

• Sobriety Walk and Run

• Native American Speaker from the AA Big Book

• Full Youth Agenda with Traditional Activities

• Youth Dance

• Youth Virtual Dating Game

• Youth Storytelling

• Counselors Present for Youth and Adults

• All Directions/Races of Man Welcome and Invited

• New "Everyone Circle"

• Al-Anon/Alateen Activities

• Wellbriety Presentations and Resources

• Veterans Panels and Presence all Weekend

• Support From Tribal Government

• Traditional Foods and Feasting

• Entertainment: Little Big Band and Howard Lyons
