Red Lake Indian School

Brief History: The Red Lake boarding School opened in 1877, with a capacity of 50 students. By 1896, enrollment at the boarding school was 44 students. In 1900, a new boarding school was built and by 1902, 93 students attended the school.

St. Mary's Mission, a contract school, also operated on the reservation at that time and it housed 70 students.
